Using a Nikon Lens on a Canon Camera

The Canon EOS 7D SLR camera is the hottest camera on the market under $2,000, and for a good reason. This camera can do things that have shocked the world of video, and for that reason it has been used to film things like CSI Miami, the Tonight Show and SNL openings, and a few others. It has even shot movies like the independent zombie flick Dead Season. Yet, before you run out and buy one with a big ol’ Canon lens attached, let me show you what lens is a perfect 7D match.

The Nikon 50mm f/1.4 is a beautiful lens. Nikon has been making the lens for more than 50 years, and it keeps getting more popular. The biggest reason for the recent explosion in popularity is the rising of Canon DSLR HD videos and films. With canon 50mm lenes you can’t change the apature while filming. Also, with the Nikon, it is much easier to use the manual focus, making your shots beautiful as you switch your soft focus between subjects. I could sit here and type up all the reasons for why exactly this lens rocks, but instead let me show you.
