Help Stop the Government from Blacklisting Sites

This week a bill was introduced to the US Senate, the Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act (COICA). This will blacklist sites where “counterfeit goods or copyrighted material are central to the activity of the Internet site.” If you visit the site linked below, you will see their argument is “the government could ban You Tube!” This isn’t going to happen and we all know it. There would be riots in the streets if the government took away You Tube, but what will happen is all Torrent sites and maybe other internet video sites, like Break.com, Vimeo.com, or even Fail Blog, could be banned from our screens. Help keep our internet awesome and dirty, sign this petition to stop this bill from passing.
