Brand Karma Brilliance

It has been around forever but someone had to give it a name. That someone is Scott Bedbury. Brand karma is the term that should be floating in the back of every CEO’s mind, right next to where he parked his beamer and when his mistress’s birthday is. When I worked for Nordstrom I used to look for their ads all the time and they were hard to come by, yet their sales were always up. People didn’t need to see billboard ads for Nordstrom because customer word of mouth was so strong. Everyone had heard stories of their customer service, in every state, everywhere. They treated people like kings and queens for so long that it became common knowledge that if you shop at Nordstrom you WILL be taken care of. This is advertising you can’t buy, it takes a ton of time and patience, but it is what every business should strive for.
